NADA Auricular Acupuncture
ADJUNCTIVE & COMPLEMENTARY
What is the NADA Acu-Detox protocol?
At five designated ear points in each ear, NADA-trained clinicians apply fine gauge, sterilized, one-time use stainless steel needles, where they remain for 30-45 minutes while the person relaxes quietly in a comfortable chair. Ordinarily, groups sit together while undergoing the treatment. This functions as an adjunct to treatment that offers the basic therapeutic elements of counseling, education, family involvement, mutual support group involvement, and supportive health care of a general nature. People in all types of treatment settings, including inpatient, outpatient, incarcerated, shelters, harm reduction and street outreach can utilize this treatment. Most people see improved participation in treatment and recovery.
How can my staff or I be trained as an Acu-Detox Specialist?
Attending a 30-hour training will prepare the participant to become a National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) Acu-Detox Specialist. The 70-hour certificate of completion will require the participant to perform an additional 40 practices and a final demonstration prior to submitting a completed application to NADA. Trainings can be scheduled in your area or at your facility. Please contact me for more information or to schedule a training an on-site 3 day training for your location.
